Tom Hansen - Professional Production Design

2009 marks Tom Hansen’s 10th season as Scenic and Lighting Designer at the Show Palace in Hudson, FL. Tom's first production with the Show Palace was the award-winning La Cage Aux Folles, a production which set the tone for future award winning shows. Tom’s award credits include OKLAHOMA! (Palace Award, 1999), Harvey (Lary Award, 2002), Philadelphia Story (Lary Award, 2003), The Sound of Music (Lary Award, 2004), Beauty and the Beast (Lary Award, 2005) The Great Sebastians (Lary Award Nomination), and Mornings at Seven (Lary Award Nomination). Tom has designed and built several productions for theatres along Florida’s West Coast including Chicago at the Eight O’clock Theatre, Blithe Spirit for the St. Petersburg Little Theater, Over the River at the Mark-Two Dinner Theater, Red Hot and Cole for Players of Sarasota and Meet Me in St. Louis at the Richey Suncoast Theater. Tom also designs for the John Leggio School for the Performing Arts in Spring Hill, FL. His other theatrical and artistic credits include serving as Technical Director for the Pasco-Hernando Community College Performing Arts Center, custom art and design for Chris Hawn & Associates and as a celebrity portrait artist in conjunction with Famous Faces, Inc.
